Musician from Kinshasa, DRC, based in Copenhagen.
He is a great guitarist and singer, music arranger and song writer.
He worked and toured with many different musicians around the world such as Makadem, Sekou Kouyate and others.
He also has his own personal project, which is being produced by the label Makbila Umoja and will release a 4 track EP this March the 15th 2022 in the label’s Bandcamp page.
John Mutombo is a very important figure in the African music in the world and specially in Copenhagen, he has participated in numerous festivals and concerts in the whole Scandinavia and the rest of Europe.
About the release “Ata Ndele” meaning “one day”
It is the tittle of the EP and one of the songs, saying in a nostalgic way “One day we will meet again”
Mutombo says; I’m singing to my people, saying that we will meet again on day.
